How you can help the LG PTA!
The LG PTA participates in many programs and actively raises funds to support LG Nourse. Listed below are programs that you can support, our fundraisers and a reminder to volunteer!
Labels for Education
Labels for Education is a fun and easy program where families and members of the community work together to “Earn Free Stuff” for their school! Collect these UPCs and caps for a huge list of participating products. Once again, send them to school with your student or you can drop them off at the school. Every label turned in earns points that can be redeemed for Arts, Athletics, and Academics merchandise. Only UPC codes with the logo will be accepted. For a full listing of participating production go to www.labelsforeducation.com. Labels for Education also has a Facebook page. Like it and they tell you about chances to win bonus points. BONUS now through October 31, 2016! Go to their website and enter to win by clicking on Grand Stand for Schools Logo. You just have to enter your contact information after signing up for the website and each time counts as an entry to win. NO purchase necessary! SunnyD Book Spree
Collect SunnyD and Fruit2O labels and send them into your teacher. Send in the WHOLE label and for every 20 labels we submit, SunnyD will send the LG books for classrooms and/or the library. For a complete listing of eligible products, visit SunnyD.com/bookspree. Collection ends 11/30/16 or while supplies last, so send your whole labels in ASAP! My Coke Rewards for Schools
The Coca Cola Company puts codes on their products that can be redeemed at www.mycokerewards.com. You can enter points for participating products (not just Coke, but Powerade, Minutemaid, Fuze, and Dasani) into your account and then make a point donation to the LG by going under Causes and then looking up the LG. Or, you can send in your bottle caps, 12 pack corners or whatever you find a code and we can input it for you . These codes earn us points for athletic equipment, classroom supplies, learning aids and more! Every little bit helps! We are not promoting drinking soda but there are other Coca Cola products that have codes. Recycling
Help LG and the environment. When you drop off your recyclable paper in a Paper Retriever bin, your organization gets paid cash. The LG’s PaperRetriever.com yellow and green recycling bin on the side of the building (the road side in the parking lot). The bin accepts newspapers, magazines, office and school papers, catalogs and mail. It does NOT accept cardboard or phone books. It does however, accept shredded paper. Just put it in a closed plastic bag (trash bag tied) and drop in the big bin! Red Robin Burgers for Better Kids
It's free to join and easy to participate! All you have to do is become a Red Robin Royalty member, link your Red Robin Rewards Card to the LG and 1% of what you spend at Red Robin will be donated throughout the year. Go to https://royalty.redrobin.com to start! Donations

Plus, with the Goodshop app for iPhone and iPad, you can shop, save and give on the go. Go to http://www.goodsearch.com/choosecause and put in LG Nourse Elementary into the search bar and sign up. Lots of great coupons and stores to choose form. How great to help the LG doing something you already do! Cell Phone and Printer Ink Cartridge Donating
Old cell phones and used ink printer cartridges can be turned in to the box in the lobby. The school then turns them in and receives cash for the school. Volunteer
The LG PTA is always appreciative of extra help from our families and community! Giving your time is a great way to help support the programs, students and teachers at LG. Look out for opportunities posted here or on our Facebook page, or get involved by attending our monthly meetings. |
